Jack's 1st snow!

We haven't had a lot so we thought we better get a picture of it.  Here is Jack and Daddy in matching hats I made them for Rob's birthday.  This was the little bit of snow we got in January.

We are moving!

Jack's getting a new house!

Rob and I are in the process of closing on a house in Marshfield.    Our goal is to be in it by the end of February.  We have to be out of our current house by 2/29 so I hope we get this one closed before then!  It is a foreclosure his mom found us.  Even though it is in town, it sits on 2.5 acres and is at the end of a cul-de-sac.  It is all brick with a walkout basement and storm shelter (or what I like to call my wine cellar).

We took it as a sign to move when we sold our house the same day we bought this one!  We told our neighbor we were going to list it, she showed it and bought it for her granddaughter the same day!

I'll post more pics after we get in and do a little work/personal touches :)

JACK HAS ARRIVED!!!

I am so late getting these posts up!  I had huge aspirations of staying updated while on maternity leave.   As you can see - that did not happen.   But I am able to find time to update at work :)

John Jackson Foster - Jack - arrived on 12/11/2011 at 8:07 am via C-section after we tried for almost 32 hours - I won't go into those details - I don't want to frighten anyone from having children!   He arrived in the world weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces.   And as you can see - he was perfect from the beginning :)

In the last picture, you'll see my upper lip busted.   That's because I decided to fall on the 9th - the day we went to be induced - and bust my lip open.  So I spent the day in the ER getting stitched up and monitored - only to return later in the day to be induced :)

Holding Daddy's hand

Thanks Dr. Stanczyk!

I finally get to meet him!

Maternity Pictures

Rob and I had some maternity pictures taken a few weekends ago.   My friend Julie Strong has a photography business so I hit her up to take some pictures for us.    She did a great job!

Thought I would share a few with you..........

Foster Family Shower and Marathon!

Two big events happened this weekend - the Foster family threw a baby shower for me on Saturday and we got to see my dad and step mom finish their first half marathon and my stepbrother ran his first full marathon!

Saturday was the baby shower.   It was hosted by all of the Thompson women.   It was a great shower.   So many family members showed up and Baby Foster was very blessed by the gifts received!

Sunday we went to the finish line of the Bass Pro Marathon.   My dad and step mom were running their first half marathon!   Both finished just passed 2 hours which is under a 10 minute mile they were shooting for.   Then we watched my stepbrother Chris finish his first ever full marathon!   Very impressed with all of them!

Kathy - almost there!

Family Shower

Saturday, October 22nd was my family shower.   My sister-in-law Lindsay hosted a great shower with the theme "twinkle, twinkle little star, how we wonder what you are".    She had everything decorated with stars.   It was very cute!

My best friend from grade school, Brandy, decorated a beautiful diaper wreath for the front door that I now have hanging on the nursery door at the house.

Playing a game - identifying the baby pictures

Last weekend we were in Marshfield most of the weekend.  Saturday I had some of my hats for sale at my sister-in-law Tracy's shopping event with a bunch of different vendors.   Sunday we had my friend Julie take some pregnancy pictures that I can't wait to see and post.

Here are a few of the hats I made:

This weekend is the Foster family shower that I'm sure will be wonderful.   I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures there and try to post them next week instead of waiting!

Yard and Nursery

This last weekend was spent at home completing our yard and nursery projects.   It was a complete success!

Rob finished the fence, tilled the entire yard and seeded it.   It's going to look amazing!   I am so impressed by my talented handy husband!

I almost have the nursery ready.   Mom came over Saturday and we sewed the curtains and crib skirt.   I'm impressed with our talents :)  I'm working on a few more decorative projects.   Hope to get those done.  I made a crib mobile that I need to hang, working on some wall art.   I'll post those pictures when I have them done!
