Memories

Three years ago today, my wonderful husband asked for my phone number at the demolition derby in Marshfield - and I was smart enough to give it to him.

That wonderful man also sent me flowers today:
Wow I'm blessed!   Love you and thank you for tapping me on the shoulder 3 years ago :)

We are half way there!!!

This last weekend marked the halfway point for Baby Foster!!   20 weeks down, 20 weeks to go!!!   I know these last 20 weeks will fly by - especially since I have not done anything to prepare :)    I've done a lot of looking, have a lot of ideas, but I've yet to act on them.

I had Rob take my first pregnancy picture after having several friends tell me I need to document the progress.

20 weeks pregnant:

The only other picture I have to share is the cute onesie Rob bought the baby last time we were in St. Louis at the Cards game:

Hope everyone is staying cool in this heat.   We have an outdoor concert coming up in 2 weeks so I need it to cool down!

I'm home!

I finally made it back home!!!    I decided 3 weeks away from home is WAY too long.   For those that don't know, I had to work in Joplin after the tornado for 21 days.    It ended up being 26 days before this girl had a day off and I was ready!

Last weekend - my first weekend back home - we headed up to St. Louis to see our nephew John sing the national anthem at the Cardinals game with the Junior Jays.   They did fantastic!     The lucky devil also one a raffle to be on the field during batting practice!!!   I'm still super jealous.    He picked his Uncle Rob to go with him as one of his guests.

Here are a few pictures I took while I had to sit in the stands.................

It was a great weekend.  The Cards lost which we hate to see but the weather was fantastic.   Rob also bought the baby the cutest onesie!! -

That'll be right!

Speaking of baby - we are trucking right along.   I'll be 18 weeks this weekend based on how I've been measuring.   Every time he measures, it shows my due date as November 29th.  So of course that's what I'll go with!   I can't believe we are almost half way there!

Back to St. Louis this weekend for 2 Cardinal games.   We have great seats and I can't wait to be there!

BABY!!

Now I get to use that title and apply it to us!!!   That's right - the Foster family is growing!

We made the announcement to the families on Mother's Day.   Had Rob's family and my family over for a BBQ that day.   Rob and I put an ultrasound picture in the cards for the moms.   It was so fun finally being able to share the news!!  It was hard to keep secret!

After we had lunch with the moms, we drove to Buffalo and told my dad, stepmom and grandparents.

I'm about 12 weeks a long and we will have our new buddle of joy arrive around the 1st of December.

Here are a few pictures with the families after sharing the news....

Women of Joy

The weekend of April 29th was the Women of Joy christian conference in Branson, MO.   It was the first time I attended.  My friend Sharon invited me to attend.  It was amazing.    The speakers were great and Saturday night Casting Crowns performed.   They were amazing.  The speakers really spoke to me.  I bought a DVD of the speakers to share with my bible study girls.

We are signed up to go next year!

Elise and her house

The following weekend, April 22nd, my niece Elise came over for a slumber party.   I had picked up a cardboard box house at Hobby Lobby that you could color.  Let's just say if you need amusement for a toddler for hours and hours, go get one!    We played in it all night and she had to sleep in it!   She also insisted "Yob" (her name for Rob) get in the house with her.   She watched her movies laying in her house all evening.   Good times!

 Getting ready to color!
Taking a break - watching some TV

Lazarus had to help with bath time!

Zac Brown Band

I have a lot of posts to catch up on!

First, we attended the Zac Brown Band concert on April 15th in Ozark, AR.   We drove down that Friday with our friends Dale and Melanie - who were also celebrating their anniversary!

It was supposed to be 58 degrees and 20% chance of rain - which is what I dressed for.   Instead it was in the low 40's with heavy drizzle and 30 mph winds.   The concert was outside in this huge field.   So I'm sure you can imagine how we froze to death.  My husband was kind enough to let me wear his vest and he did bring me a stocking cap.  We didn't even know if they would have the concert due to the high winds and their equipment hanging up on the stage.   Even considering the weather, they were awesome.  They sounded just as amazing if not better in person!    I cannot wait until we see them in July with Kenny Chesney - although I'm sure we'll have the extreme opposite in temperature then!

We also got to attend the dinner with them before the concert.  No pictures were allowed at that time - sorry!    It was a lot of fun - the food was fantastic.   Rob bought me their cookbook as a gift afterwards!

Here Rob is layering with newspaper in his shirt in the hopes of staying warm.
 Happy Anniversary Dale and Melanie!
So cold waiting for the concert to start!
To try to keep warm, Melanie putting koozies on her toes for insulation!

We were this close to the stage!
